| COMMENTS: Parker 65 is a British pen that to my eye (1960's non-"51" Parkers not a prime focus for me), seems to blend the best of Parker VP and Parker 61. Featuring a non-removable aerometric filler, the pen looks externally much like a Parker 61, but has a nib evoking VP/75, with a charming hooded, tapered long gripping section. I rarely have these in stock, and am happy to hear more about this pen, if anyone reading this happens to be an ardant collector. This pattern seems relatively uncommon, at least amongst patterns I've seen at pen shows over the years. Very clean pen. No dings. Plump point. | |||

| COMMENTS: The great look and feel of the USA-made "61" but with none of the hassle. This one has an converter filler. English production it has a very smooth nib, typical to English Parker pens. The barrel is cleanly personalized in the cartouche. Couple light pin-dings to cap, one must work to find them. | |||

| COMMENTS: Killer nib on a mint Flighter. Oh yeah, the broad oblique (tilts down right to left, meant for right handed writers) has a bit of flex. | COMMENTS: I'm not pro-from-Dover with Parker 45, but note that most have metal caps. This all-plastic version seems to evoke some of the 1950's Parker-Eversharp (after Parker bought Eversharp) pens, but I could be wrong. This one is mint with chalk marks. | |||

About five years ago I did the photo shoot of a major private collection for an article on Jotter for STYUS Magazine. The owner of this collection told me his blue pen was the only one he'd ever found. Recently I managed to find a tray of mint NOS (with original, generally non-working, cartridge) specimens. | COMMENTS: The notion of a monochromatic "rainbow" tends to give me a headache, but that seems to be what folks call even the white-metal version of the cap divided by sweeping arcs. A multi-hued form exists, too. Clean pen. Capillary filler. No dings. Intact arrow in the hood. The black lines which divide the cap are no longer present in the engraved arcs- perhaps polished away vs original look. | |||
