COMMENTS: The purple Estie is one i encounter not often. Well more scarce than most of the pinks and greens. This one has bit of fading to the color.

COMMENTS: Pastel Esties are amongst the "better" collectables from that maker. This one has great color and trim, and NONE of the hairline cap-lip cracks that can plague the series. This is the light yellow and appropriately features black endjewels. MONSTER NIB alert. The Esterbrook Relief 9314-M Oblique is a "standard" Oblique meant for right handed writers and puts down a smooth wet nearly broad line.

COMMENTS: The Icicle pattern is late Esterbrook product, dating to mid-late 1960's. Packing nice eye appeal, the icicles probably fall below the pastel purse pens but above the conventional marbled plastics in terms of collector cachet. This one is mint uninked with functioning sac. Has no barrel imprint (i've seen plenty Icicles as such).

COMMENTS: Estie purse pens have come into their own and are appreciated for their charming pastel colors, high quality, reasonable price point, and readily swappable nib assemblies. Part of a large lot of Esties acquired during the last few months. This one is a matched set of the pale blue with black end jewels. Near Mint pen perhaps dipped. Perfect color, trim and imprint. Pencil perfect though eraser has been used. The flower-pouch is stamped, "Esterbrook" on the back. These travel pouches are well more scarce than the pens and do add charm to the package.

COMMENTS: An outrageous package for the Estie aficianado. The pen is mint and perfect. The pouch (stamped with the Esterbrook log0) is more rare than the pen and is the only one i've seen to have "jewels" embedded in the surfact (hope i'm not giving away any real diamonds, here- LOL). Original instruction sheet included. The one has the only box i've handled for the purse pouch. You can see the cardboard portion in the photo, the plastic top piece (also stamped, "Esterbrook" was left out of the photo but is include, of course, in this sale. May not be returned if inked or dipped.

This one is very clean in terms of wear, but does show just a hint of ambering to the barrel- which does show in the photo (at least on my monitor),

From Vacumania's Basement... barely Pen 1713 LE Esterbrook Purse Pen in dark gray $45

COMMENTS: Estie purse pens have come into their own and are appreciated for their charming pastel colors, high quality, reasonable price point, and readily swappable nib assemblies. Part of a large lot of Esties acquired during the last few months, this Dark Gray is not so common a color, but does have one flaw. One always must watch for evil phrasing like, "this pen is perfect EXCEPT FOR...". Still... this one has nearly no wear, minimal ink traces, but does have a hairline stress crack- just a mm or two- in the cap lip. Probably was aggressively posted once even if not used much. A working and lovely pen markedly discounted for a flaw all too often present and all too infrequently disclosed.
